Designed with Thijs Ewalts. With a lightweight construction and renewable building materials.
This lightweight construction was needed because of the bad soil, that didn´t allow heavy foundations, but had as a side effect the minimum use of concrete (reduction of the use of concrete is more eco-friendly). The facade is almost finished.

design Rugged Cow Collection
Carpet made with left over leather pieces (industrial waste from a furniture company). Produced by cutting the leather pieces into straps, and hand knitted into a carpet. (size 1.5m-1.8m) How to use the most worthless material with the input of almost no energy.
Industrial waste can be upgraded and re-valued by craftmanship.

Hand painted and re-fired second hand table-ware in combination with embroidered napkins with the Rotterdam harbour ´Waalhaven´ and Rotterdam Charlois. A business gift; a series of 20 plates.
